uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

נַעֲשֶׂה־חָ֑יִל

(Some words not found in UHB: ?,not you(ms) ʼElohīm have,you(pl)_rejected_us and=not go_out ʼElohīm with,armies_of,our )

The psalmist is using do valor as a common expression of the culture to mean “act valiantly” or “accomplish mighty deeds.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [we will act valiantly] or [we will accomplish mighty deeds]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

יָב֥וּס צָרֵֽינוּ

(Some words not found in UHB: ?,not you(ms) ʼElohīm have,you(pl)_rejected_us and=not go_out ʼElohīm with,armies_of,our )

David is speaking of Yahweh as if he would literally trample Israel’s enemies with his feet. He means that Yahweh will decisively defeat them. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent metaphor from your culture. Alternatively, you could express the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [he will crush our adversaries] or [he will give us complete victory over our adversaries]

Note 3 topic: writing-pronouns

וְ֝ה֗וּא יָב֥וּס

(Some words not found in UHB: ?,not you(ms) ʼElohīm have,you(pl)_rejected_us and=not go_out ʼElohīm with,armies_of,our )

The psalmist is stating the pronoun he twice for emphasis. He is doing this to stress that God alone will defeat the enemies. If a speaker of your language would use a repeated pronoun for the same purpose, you may want to use that construction in your translation. If not, your language may have other ways of showing this emphasis. Alternate translation: [he himself will trample our adversaries] or [it is he who will trample our adversaries]
