By our steps, David means the steps that both he and his enemies are taking as they move. The enemies are surrounding him at every point along their path. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [They have surrounded me now wherever we go] or [They have surrounded me at every point along our path]

Some ancient manuscripts read They have surrounded me. The ULT follows that reading. Other ancient manuscripts read “They have surrounded us.” If a translation of the Bible exists in your region, you may wish to use the reading that it uses. If a translation of the Bible does not exist in your region, you may wish to use the reading of the ULT.

By Their eyes they have set, crouching down to the earth, the psalmist means that his enemies are watching him carefully and getting ready to attack him like wild animals that crouch low before they pounce on their prey. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [They stare at me intently, crouched low and ready to attack]
