Here the psalmist is speaking of God’s thoughts as if they were a deep pool of water because we cannot see or reach them. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation. If not, you could state this as a comparison. Alternate translation: [Your thoughts are like a deep pool to us]

The word thoughts is an abstract noun that refers to what someone thinks. Some languages may not use abstract nouns. If this is true in your language, you could translate this with a verb, such as “what you think.” Alternate translation: [The things you think] or [Your plans]
