OET (OET-LV)If/because we_come_to_an_end in_anger_of_your and_by_rage_of_your we_are_terrified.

OET (OET-RV)Certainly we’re consumed in your anger,
⇔ ≈ and in your rage we’re terrified.

None
uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

כִּֽי־כָלִ֥ינוּ בְאַפֶּ֑ךָ וּֽבַחֲמָתְךָ֥ נִבְהָֽלְנוּ

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when consumed in,anger_of,your and,by,rage_of,your dismayed )

Moses is referring to God’s nose as a common expression of his culture to mean God’s anger. Your language and culture may also associate anger with a particular part of the body. If so, in your translation you could use an expression involving that part of the body. You could also use plain language. Alternate translation: [by your anger we perish, and by your wrath we are terrified]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / events

כִּֽי־כָלִ֥ינוּ בְאַפֶּ֑ךָ וּֽבַחֲמָתְךָ֥ נִבְהָֽלְנוּ

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when consumed in,anger_of,your and,by,rage_of,your dismayed )

If it would be more natural in your language, you may want to reverse the order of the phrases, since people would first be terrified by God’s wrath and then they would perish when he destroyed them in his anger. Alternate translation: [by your wrath we are terrified, and by your anger we perish]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

וּֽבַחֲמָתְךָ֥ נִבְהָֽלְנוּ

and,by,rage_of,your dismayed

If your language does not use this passive form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: [and your wrath terrifies us]
