Here, blessed be expresses praise to God. This is a doxology in which the psalmist declares that God’s glorious name is worthy of praise forever. The psalmist is repeating the word Amen for emphasis as a way of concluding Book 2 of Psalms (42–72). If it would be clearer for your readers, you could express the emphasis with a single phrase. Alternate translation: [May it certainly be so]
