מִ⁠מִּזְרָ֥ח וּ⁠מִֽ⁠מַּעֲרָ֑ב מִ⁠צָּפ֥וֹן וּ⁠מִ⁠יָּֽם

(Some words not found in UHB: and,from_[the],lands he,has_gathered_them from,east and,from,west from,north and,from_[the],sea )

The psalmist is referring to all of the earth by naming two extremes, the sunrise (the east) and the evening (the west), the north and the sea (the south). If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [from all directions and from everywhere in between]

The psalmist is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [he has gathered them from the sunrise and from the evening, from the north and from the sea]

The psalmist assumes that readers will know that the sunrise and the evening refer to the east and the west. You could say that explicitly if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [from the east and from the west]

The implication is that the sea refers to the southern sea, since the psalmist has already mentioned the other three directions (east, west, and north). You could include this information if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [from the north and from the south]
