The psalmist is using the term fathers to mean “ancestors.” If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [he will come to the generation of his ancestors]

The psalmist assumes that his listeners will understand that by this phrase he means that the rich man he has been describing since verse 16 will join in death the generation of people that consists of his ancestors. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [he will join his ancestors in death]

The psalmist is using they will not see light as a common expression of his culture to mean that the rich man and his ancestors will not live on the earth again. If this phrase does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [they will never see the light of day] or [they will never live on the earth again]
