uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / imperative

יְהִֽי־חַסְדְּךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה עָלֵ֑ינוּ

let_it_be (Some words not found in UHB: let_it_be loyalty_of,your_covenant YHWH toward,us just=as hope to/for=you(fs) )

This is an imperative, but it communicates a prayer request rather than a command. The psalmist is asking Yahweh for something. If the imperative does not communicate a polite request for your readers, then use a form in your language that communicates a polite request. It may be helpful to add an expression such as “please” to make this clear. Alternate translation: [Please let your covenant faithfulness, Yahweh, be upon us]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

יְהִֽי־חַסְדְּךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה עָלֵ֑ינוּ

let_it_be (Some words not found in UHB: let_it_be loyalty_of,your_covenant YHWH toward,us just=as hope to/for=you(fs) )

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of covenant faithfulness, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [May you be faithful to your covenant with us, Yahweh]
