תֵּ֭שֵׁב & תְדַבֵּ֑ר

(Some words not found in UHB: sit on,brother_of,your speak on,the_child_of your_mother_of,your you_give slander )

God is using You sit as a common expression of this culture to indicate that the action he describes next, you speak, is something that this wicked person does deliberately and continuously. If this expression does not have that meaning in your language, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [You sit around speaking] or [You habitually speak]

Note 2 topic: translate-kinship

בְּאָחִ֣יךָ & בְּבֶֽן־אִ֝מְּךָ֗

(Some words not found in UHB: sit on,brother_of,your speak on,the_child_of your_mother_of,your you_give slander )

The word that the ULT translates as brother is a general term that in various contexts can mean a full brother or a half-brother, a kinsman, or a fellow Israelite. The phrase the son of your mother explicitly describes a full brother. (It is characteristic of Hebrew poetry for the second part of a line to intensify and sharpen the first part of a line.) If your language has a general term for a relative that can include a brother, it would be appropriate to use it to translate brother. If not, if your language has a term for a half-brother (a son of the same father but not of the same mother), you might use that to translate brother, and you might use your term for a full brother (a son of the same mother and father) in the second part of the verse.
