uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

until a pit is dug for the wicked

(Some words not found in UHB: to,grant_~_relief to=him/it from,days_of trouble until dug for_the,wicked pit )

The psalmist speaks of Yahweh’s punishing the wicked as if Yahweh were trapping an animal in a pit. If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “until you dig a pit for the wicked” or “until you destroy the wicked” (See also: figs-metaphor)

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

94:13 God’s relief includes his comfort and rescue.
