Here David is speaking of his enemies as if they were physically arising upward to attack him, and he speaks of God as One who will physically lift me up above them. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [you make me prevail over those who attack me] or [you protect me from those who oppose me]
