If it would be more natural in your language, you could reverse the order of these phrases, since the second phrase gives the reason for the result that the first phrase describes. Alternate translation: [Because evils are in their dwelling, in the midst of them, may desolations be upon them; may they go down to Sheol alive]

The pronouns them and they refer to the enemies whom David first described in verse 3. He is talking about them as a group again after focusing on a specific one of them in verses 12–14. David is alluding to the episode described in [Numbers 16:1–33](../num/16/01.md) in which men named Korah, Dathan, and Abiram rebelled against Moses, and Yahweh judged and punished them by having the ground open up so that they “went down to Sheol alive.” You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [may they go down to Sheol alive, just like the people who rebelled against Moses]
