So that marks the rest of verses 6–8 as the goal or purpose of verse five. Use a connector in your language that makes it clear that this is the purpose. Alternate translation: [He commanded this in order that the generation to come]

The psalmist is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [so that the generation to come might know his decrees, and so that the children not yet born might also know them]

The psalmist is using rise up as a common expression of the culture to mean “take action” or “come along.” He does not mean that the children will literally stand up. If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and they in their turn will tell] or [and they will then tell]
