uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: writing-pronouns

אַתָּ֤ה פוֹרַ֣רְתָּ

(Some words not found in UHB: you(ms) divided by,strength_of,your sea broke heads_of sea_monsters on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in the=waters )

Asaph is stating the pronoun You separately, even though the verb translated as you divided already includes this meaning. He is doing that to emphasize that it was God himself who performed this mighty act. If it would be natural in your language to use an explicit pronoun for the same purpose, you may want to use that construction in your translation, or you could express this emphasis in a different way. See how you as a team decide to translate this phrase and follow that approach here and throughout this psalm. Alternate translation: [It was you who divided]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

בְעָזְּךָ֣

(Some words not found in UHB: you(ms) divided by,strength_of,your sea broke heads_of sea_monsters on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in the=waters )

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of strength, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [because you are strong]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

רָאשֵׁ֥י תַ֝נִּינִ֗ים

(Some words not found in UHB: you(ms) divided by,strength_of,your sea broke heads_of sea_monsters on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in the=waters )

Here Asaph is speaking of the forces of chaos as if they were sea monsters whose heads God crushed. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [the powers of the chaotic waters]
