uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

וַתִּבְלַ֣ע דָּתָ֑ן

(Some words not found in UHB: opened earth/land and,it_swallowed_up Dātān and,it_covered on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in company_of ʼAⱱīrām )

The psalmist is speaking as if the earth were a person who swallowed Dathan. He means that the earth opened up and Dathan fell into it and died. If it would be helpful in your language, you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and Dathan went down in it]

Note 2 topic: translate-names

דָּתָ֑ן & אֲבִירָֽם

(Some words not found in UHB: opened earth/land and,it_swallowed_up Dātān and,it_covered on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in company_of ʼAⱱīrām )

The words Dathan and Abiram are the names of men.

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

עֲדַ֥ת אֲבִירָֽם

company_of ʼAⱱīrām

The psalmist assumes that readers will know that the congregation of Abiram refers to Abiram’s followers who joined him in rebelling against Moses and Aaron. You could say that explicitly if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [the followers of Abiram]
