uW Translation Notes:

his people turn to them

(Some words not found in UHB: for=so/thus/hence turn people_of,his there and,waters_of abundance drink in,them )

This could mean: (1) “God’s people love the wicked people” or (2) “the wicked people return to this place”

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

וּמֵ֥י מָ֝לֵ֗א יִמָּ֥צוּ לָֽמוֹ

and,waters_of abundance drink in,them

If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. If you must state who did the action, implies that God’s people did it. Alternate translation: “and they drain the waters of a full cup”

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

וּמֵ֥י מָ֝לֵ֗א יִמָּ֥צוּ לָֽמוֹ

and,waters_of abundance drink in,them

The author is speaking of as if they were . If it would be helpful in your language, you could express the meaning with a simile or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: “”

abundant waters are drained out

(Some words not found in UHB: for=so/thus/hence turn people_of,his there and,waters_of abundance drink in,them )

This could mean: (1) “God’s people listen gladly to the words of the wicked people” or (2) “the wicked people have plenty of food to eat and wine to drink”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

Ps 73 This wisdom psalm examines the injustice of the prosperity of the wicked. The psalmist affirms that God is good to the godly but his own experience differs (73:2-12). Nearly overcome by his doubts (73:13-16), the psalmist meets the Lord in the sanctuary and gains a perspective that stretches beyond his life and renews his confidence in God (73:17-26). His disturbing doubts stir a greater passion for truth. He knows that he can trust God and that God will rescue him (73:27-28).
