⇔ and my bones feel like they’re on fire.

uW Translation Notes:

my days pass away like smoke

(Some words not found in UHB: not hide face_of,your from,me in/on=day distress to=me incline to=me ear_of,your in/on=day call quickly answer,me )

my bones burn like fire

(Some words not found in UHB: not hide face_of,your from,me in/on=day distress to=me incline to=me ear_of,your in/on=day call quickly answer,me )

Here the author refers to his “body” as his “bones.” Alternate translation: “my body feels like it is burning” (See also: figs-simile)

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

102:3 Smoke is an image of transitory life (37:20; 68:2).
• The psalmist’s bones represent his whole being (see 6:2; 34:19-22).
