22:12 Note: KJB: Ps.22.11

OET (OET-RV)Many enemies surround me like angry bulls.
⇔ ≈ Strong bulls from Bashan have surrounded me.

None
uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor

סְ֭בָבוּנִי פָּרִ֣ים רַבִּ֑ים אַבִּירֵ֖י בָשָׁ֣ן כִּתְּרֽוּנִי

(Some words not found in UHB: not far from,me that/for/because/then/when trouble near that/for/because/then/when not help )

Here David is speaking of his enemies as if they were bulls that surround and encircle him. If this image communicates well in your language, please use it. If not, you could express this as a comparison. Alternate translation: [Many enemies surround me like bulls; strong ones like those of Bashan encircle me]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / distinguish

אַבִּירֵ֖י בָשָׁ֣ן

(Some words not found in UHB: not far from,me that/for/because/then/when trouble near that/for/because/then/when not help )

The phrase strong ones of Bashan gives further information about the Many bulls. (David refers to Bashan because it was known for its rich pasturelands and so the bulls there would have been well fed and strong.) David is not distinguishing these strong ones from other bulls that are not strong. Be sure that this is clear in your translation. Alternate translation: [the powerful bulls of Bashan] or [the mighty bulls of Bashan]
