OET (OET-RV)
 ⇔

uW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

I have been thrown on you from the womb

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when you(ms) took_of,me from,womb trust_of,me on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in breast_of mother's_of,my )

The phrase “have been thrown on” is a way of saying that Yahweh has taken care of him as if Yahweh had adopted him as his own child. If your language does not use the passive form in this way, you can state this in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. Alternate translation: “It was as though you had adopted me right when I was born” (See also: figs-activepassive)

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / explicit

you are my God

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when you(ms) took_of,me from,womb trust_of,me on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in breast_of mother's_of,my )

This implies that Yahweh has always taken care of the writer. Alternate translation: “you, God, have taken care of me”

since I was in my mother’s womb

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when you(ms) took_of,me from,womb trust_of,me on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in breast_of mother's_of,my )

Alternate translation: “since before I was born”

TSN Tyndale Study Notes:

Ps 22 All previous laments pale in comparison with this outcry against the enemy and God’s abandonment. The psalm contains two main sections: the lament (22:1-21) and praise for redemption (22:22-31), which leads naturally to Ps 23. The apostles saw in this psalm an expression of the sufferings of Jesus Christ, who ultimately fulfilled the purpose of David’s humiliation, rejection by people, and divine abandonment (Matt 27:35, 39, 43, 46; Mark 15:34; John 19:23-24, 28; Heb 2:12).
