David is using Be silent to Yahweh as a common expression of the culture to mean “wait patiently and reverently for Yahweh.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [Rest quietly before Yahweh]

The word translated as tremble represents the written Hebrew text. This reading, however, does not seem to make sense here. Scholars have proposed that a different word with a similar spelling was intended that means “to wait” that seems to better fit the meaning of this passage. You may want to follow the major translation in your area. Alternate translation: [and wait]
