The pronoun you does not refer to God, as in verses 7–10. It is plural, and it refers to Israelite men who stayed back to care for flocks instead of going into battle. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: [Even if you were among the Israelite men who lay down between the sheepfolds] or [Even if you were among the Israelite men who cared for flocks instead of going into battle]

The psalmist is using the wings of a dove covered with silver to represent a dove statue on which the wings are covered with silver. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression from your culture or state the meaning plainly.
