The psalmist is using the term his name to represent who God is and to refer to God’s reputation. If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [who he is]

Here the psalmist is speaking of God as if he were the one riding over the plains, evoking the image of a powerful warrior or king who commands the open wilderness.
