The point of this comparison is that just as a snail that melts dissolves and disappears as it moves along, so the psalmist desires that his enemies would perish and vanish. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make this point explicitly. Alternate translation: [May they be like a snail that liquifies and disappears]

The psalmist is referring to a stillborn child in a polite way by using the term miscarriage. Depending on what is helpful for your readers, you could use a polite way of referring to this in your language, or you could state this plainly. Alternate translation: [May they be like a stillborn baby] or [May they be like a child who dies at birth]
