Here, lest, if you are deaf to me, then I will be together with the ones going down to the pit introduces a possible condition and its consequence. David is saying that if Yahweh does not respond to his prayer, then he will die. Use a natural form in your language for introducing a condition that could happen. Alternate translation: [If you are silent, then I will join those who go down to the grave]
