3:2 Many older translations place the word ‘Selah’ (the transliteration of the Hebrew word ‘סֶֽלָה’ which we’re not completely sure of the meaning of) here, but that’s meaningless to most modern-English readers so the OET makes an informed attempt at a translation. ‘Pause and reflect’ would also have been a likely meaning. selah

This is the first instance of the Hebrew word Selah, the meaning of which is unknown. The ancient Greek translation uses a term that means “musical interlude.” Your translation team should decide if you will (1) spell this word to reflect its Hebrew form, “Selah,” or (2) omit “Selah” or (3) translate with a word meaning something like “musical interlude” or “pause” in your language.
