Vespere adversitas; in his tentatur homo, sed datur ei exire inde, ne lucris capiatur, cui divitiæ sunt Deus: ne adversis terreatur, pro quo passus est Dominus. Delectabis. Ps 64 This lament decries the destructive plots and arrogant attitude of the wicked (64:1-6). The psalmist turns to God in prayer and takes heart in God’s justice because whatever the wicked do will be undone by the righteous judge. The godly will rejoice and grow in wisdom as they reflect on God’s mighty acts.
