135.2 Confitemini Deo deorum. Deos dicit homines, ad quos sermo Dei factus est in alio psalmo, ubi ait, Ego dixi, Dii estis et filii Excelsi, etc. Et non ideo dicuntur dii, quod omnes sint boni: si enim omnes boni essent, non diceret in eodem psalmo: in medio autem deos dijudicat, id est discernit, de quibus etiam subdit: Confitemini Domino dominorum.

135.2 Confess to_God of_the_gods. to_Gods he_says people/men, to which speech of_God became it_is in/into/on another psalm/song, where he_said, I I_said, God you_are and children Exalted, etc. And not/no therefore/for_that_reason are_said gods, that everyone let_them_be good: when/but_if because everyone good they_would_be, not/no would_say in/into/on the_same psalm/song: in/into/on in_the_middle however the_gods to_judge, that it_is distinguishes, from/about to_whom also I_submit: Confess Master of_the_masters.

The term “god,” when applied to a being other than Yahweh, can refer to an idol, but, as here, it can also refer to any lesser spirit being. Alternate translation: [to the God who is above any other spiritual being]

Here and throughout the psalm where this phrase is repeated, the psalmist is using to forever as a common expression of his culture to mean “eternally” or “without end.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [for his covenant faithfulness lasts forever]
