Here the psalmist speaks of Yahweh as if he were a rock, because a large rock can provide protection and safety. You could keep this image in your translation if it is clear, or you could state the meaning plainly. See how you translated this in [Psalm 18:2](../018/002.md). Here the psalmist is speaking of unrighteousness as if it were a substance or object that could be present in or absent from someone. Your language may have a comparable expression that you can use in your translation, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [and he is always righteousness]

The phrase no unrighteousness uses two negative words to express a positive meaning. The psalmist is saying that God is completely righteous. If your language does not use double negatives, you could express this with a positive statement. Alternate translation: [and he is always righteousness]
