David is speaking as if the Ziphites were actually foreigners, even though he and they belong to the same Israelite tribe of Judah, because they are not acting toward him with the loyalty that one would expect of kinsmen. When David says that these people have arisen, he does not mean that they have stood up from a sitting or lying position. He means that they have taken action, in this context hostile action. You could indicate this explicitly in your translation if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [have taken hostile action against me]

David is using the adjective violent as a noun to mean a certain kind of person. The ULT indicates this by supplying the word ones. Your language may use adjectives in the same way. If not, you can translate this adjective with an equivalent phrase. Alternate translation: [and violent men]
