Normally the OET discourages the reading of individual ‘verses’, but this view is only designed for doing comparisons of different translations. Click on any Bible version abbreviation down the left-hand side to see the verse in more of its context. The OET segments on this page are still very early looks into the unfinished texts of the Open English Translation of the Bible. Please double-check these texts in advance before using in public.

Ps 145 This hymn of praise is the last in this collection of the psalms of David (Pss 138–145). Praise continues in the last five psalms (Pss 146–150). This psalm celebrates the Lord as King of all (145:1-3, 10-13). God’s actions reveal his royal qualities (145:4-7). He cares for all creatures (145:14-17) and for those who fear him (145:18-20).
Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / metaphor
is near to all those who call to him
(Some words not found in UHB: near YHWH to/from=all/each/any/every call_on,him to=all/each/any/every which/who call_on,him in/on/at/with,truth )
Here “is near” means “ready to help.” Alternate translation: “is always ready to help all those who call to him”
Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns
to all who call to him in trustworthiness
(Some words not found in UHB: near YHWH to/from=all/each/any/every call_on,him to=all/each/any/every which/who call_on,him in/on/at/with,truth )
If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea behind the word trustworthiness, you could express the same idea with a verbal form. Alternate translation: “to all who tell only the truth when they pray” or “to all whom he trusts when they pray”
