101.20 Because looked_forward, etc. AUG. After sigh hurting, already are words of_consolations, already rejoices poor. And because above he/she_said: He_built Master Sion; and item: They_may_be_written these_things; just/only both declares; as_if this it_is that he/she_said to_be_written, because looked_forward. Looked_forward. As past_tense he_says, which they_were the_future.

The connecting word that introduces the content of the praise mentioned in the previous verse. Use a way that is natural in your language to introduce what the praise is about. Alternate translation: [They will say that]

These two phrases that he looked down from the height of his holiness and Yahweh from heaven regarded the earth mean basically the same thing. The second emphasizes the meaning of the first by repeating the same idea with different words. Hebrew poetry was based on this kind of repetition, and you may want to show this to your readers by including both phrases in your translation. If it is helpful, you could connect the phrases in a way that shows that the second phrase is repeating the first one, not saying something additional. Alternate translation: [that he looked down from the height of his holiness; yes, Yahweh from heaven regarded the earth,]

The psalmist is using the possessive form to describe a height that is characterized by holiness. If a speaker of your language would not use the possessive form for this, you could express this idea in another way. Alternate translation: [from his holy high-place]

The phrase the height of his holiness refers to heaven, where God dwells. The psalmist assumes that readers will understand that this is describing God’s holy dwelling place above the earth. You could say that explicitly if that would be helpful to your readers. Alternate translation: [from heaven]
