UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: figures-of-speech / simile

For as the skies are high & toward those who honor him

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when as_~_as,high heavens on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in the=earth/land great steadfast_love,his on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in fear,him )

The simile compares the great distance between heaven and earth to the greatness of God’s love for his people.

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

so great is his covenant faithfulness

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when as_~_as,high heavens on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in the=earth/land great steadfast_love,his on/upon/above/on_account_of//he/it_went_in fear,him )

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea behind the word faithfulness, you could express the same idea with an adjective. Alternate translation: “so he is very faithful to his covenant”
