Here the word For introduces not a reason but an explanation of how great Yahweh’s covenant faithfulness is toward those who fear him. You may want to use a different connecting word to show how this statement relates to what comes before it. Alternate translation: [You see,]

כִּ֤י כִ⁠גְבֹ֣הַּ שָׁ֭מַיִם עַל־הָ⁠אָ֑רֶץ גָּבַ֥ר חַ֝סְדּ֗⁠וֹ עַל־יְרֵאָֽי⁠ו

The point of this comparison is that just as the heavens are extremely high above the earth, so his covenant faithfulness is extremely strong toward those fearing him. If it would be helpful in your language, you could make this point explicitly. Alternate translation: [For just as it is impossible to measure how high the heavens are above the earth, it is also impossible to measure how strong his covenant faithfulness is toward those fearing him]

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of covenant faithfulness, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [that is how strongly committed he is to being faithful]
