The phrase prosper, ride out expresses a single idea. The word prosper, meaning “succeed” or “triumph,” tells in what way the psalmist wants the king to ride out in his chariot. If it would be more natural in your language, you could express this meaning in a different way. Alternate translation: [ride out triumphantly] or [ride out to victory]

The psalmist is speaking as if he actually wanted the king to ride out in his chariot to fight a battle. As in the previous verse, he wants the king to use his power to uphold justice without necessarily involve fighting an actual battle. The expression fearful things is a passive verbal form, a participle that the psalmist is using as a noun. If your language would not use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that would be natural in your language. Alternate translation: [things that terrify your opponents]
