Hujus Novi Testamenti testimonium dicitur vetus lex, quia habet testimonium a lege et Prophetis: unde tabernaculum testimonii dicebatur illud, quod tot mystica figurabat: Testimonium ergo dicitur Vetus Testamentum in quantum probat et testatur, lex in quantum jubet. CASS., REM. Suscitavit quasi mortuum in Adam testimonium, id est, legem, vel, dum describitur, suscitatur, prius ignorantia sopitum. 77.5 And suscitavit, etc. AUG. This testimony. Initium, whence supra: Loquar propositiones away initio. The_beginning it_is Vetus Testamentum, finis Novum. There timor, who it_is initium: but this Christus, finis legis to justitiam all credenti Rom. 10., who dat spiritum, unde: Charitas, which pellit timorem I Yoan. 4..
