The psalmist is using this possessive form to mean the deepest part of the sea. It may be helpful to clarify this for your readers. Alternate translation: [from the deep sea]

The psalmist is leaving out some of the words that in many languages a sentence would need in order to be complete. The object “them” (referring to the enemies) is implied. You can supply these words from the context if that would be clearer in your language. Alternate translation: [I will bring them back from Bashan, I will bring them back from the depths of the sea]

The psalmist is referring to all places by naming two extremes, from Bashan (high ground) and from the depths of the sea (the lowest depths). If it would be helpful in your language, you could use an equivalent expression or plain language. Alternate translation: [from the heights … from the depths]
