UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: grammar-connect-logic-result

כִּֽי

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when evildoers they,will_be_cut_off and,[those_who]_wait_for_of YHWH they(emph) inherit land )

The word translated as For indicates that what follows is a reason for what came before. Use a connector in your language that makes it clear that what follows is a reason for what came before. Alternate translation: [Since]

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / idiom

מְ֭רֵעִים יִכָּרֵת֑וּן

evildoers (Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when evildoers they,will_be_cut_off and,[those_who]_wait_for_of YHWH they(emph) inherit land )

David is using cut off as a common expression of the culture to mean “destroy.” If this phrase does not have that meaning for your readers, you could use a comparable expression from your language that does have that meaning, or you could state the meaning plainly. Alternate translation: [evildoers will perish]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / activepassive

מְ֭רֵעִים יִכָּרֵת֑וּן

evildoers (Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when evildoers they,will_be_cut_off and,[those_who]_wait_for_of YHWH they(emph) inherit land )

The expression will be cut off is a passive verbal form. If it would be unnatural to use that form, you could express the idea in active form or in another way that is natural in your language. If you need to say who does the action, the context indicates that it is Yahweh. Alternate translation: [Yahweh will cut off evildoers]

Note 4 topic: writing-pronouns

הֵ֣מָּה יִֽירְשׁוּ־אָֽרֶץ

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when evildoers they,will_be_cut_off and,[those_who]_wait_for_of YHWH they(emph) inherit land )

David is stating the pronoun they separately, even though the verb translated as they will inherit already includes this meaning. He is doing that to emphasize that, unlike the evildoers in the previous line, those who wait for Yahweh will inherit the land. If a speaker of your language would use an explicit pronoun for the same purpose, you may want to use that construction in your translation. If not, your language may have other ways of showing the meaning here. Alternate translation: [they themselves will inherit the land]
