UTNuW Translation Notes:

Note 1 topic: writing-newevent

אָ֤ז דִּבַּ֥רְתָּֽ

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when to/for=YHWH shield_of,our and_[belongs],to,the_holy_[one]_of Yisrael king_of,our )

Ethan is using the word translated as Then to introduce a new event in the story. Use a word, phrase, or other method in your language that is natural for introducing a new event.

Note 2 topic: figures-of-speech / quotations

וַתֹּ֗אמֶר שִׁוִּ֣יתִי עֵ֭זֶר עַל־גִּבּ֑וֹר הֲרִימ֖וֹתִי בָח֣וּר מֵעָֽם

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when to/for=YHWH shield_of,our and_[belongs],to,the_holy_[one]_of Yisrael king_of,our )

If it would be more natural in your language, you could express this as an indirect quotation. Alternate translation: [telling them that you have placed help on a warrior; you have raised up a chosen one from the people]

Note 3 topic: figures-of-speech / abstractnouns

עֵ֭זֶר

(Some words not found in UHB: that/for/because/then/when to/for=YHWH shield_of,our and_[belongs],to,the_holy_[one]_of Yisrael king_of,our )

If your language does not use an abstract noun for the idea of help, you could express the same idea in another way. Alternate translation: [my helping hand]
